A military man, Steve, who values his service and relationship, proposes to his girlfriend, Angela, with a medal he's proud of. However, Angela dismisses the gesture, prioritizing trivial things like a pumpkin spice latte and showing indifference towards his sacrifice. Steve, hoping to win her approval, volunteers for another dangerous mission to the Middle East, only to later discover her infidelity with another man. Realizing her lack of loyalty, Steve ends the relationship. With encouragement from his superior officer, Steve recognizes that he deserves better and shouldn't waste his life on someone who doesn't value him.
