The story describes the grim reality of Sobibor, a secret Nazi death camp during World War II. Located in an isolated forest in eastern Poland, Sobibor was one of three specialized death camps—along with Treblinka and Belzec—used by the Nazis to carry out their genocidal plan, the Final Solution, aimed at exterminating Jews in occupied Poland. The camp, covering 150 acres, was heavily guarded with barbed-wire fences, a central watchtower, and a deadly minefield, designed to prevent escape and keep its horrific activities hidden.
