We are two starting a business and we have a couple of questions. which online platform should we sell our stuff on ? Like which platform has the highest number of people that would buy stuff and also the highest price we could get from it. ( it can be on multiple platforms aswell. We don’t have loads of money so preferably a platform that is either free or very cheap. I know we cant have everything but the best or one of each. -when people buy us stuff how do we like send it? Is it the platform doing all this for us if so how, if not we will receive the address and stuff to be able to send it? -is it better our own domain or use a eshop instead ?

When it comes to choosing an online platform to sell your products, there are several options available. The choice depends on various factors such as your target audience, product type, budget, and desired level of control. Here are a few popular platforms to consider: 1. Amazon: With millions of active users, Amazon offers a vast customer base. However, it charges fees for selling on its platform, and competition can be high. 2. eBay: Known for its auction-style listings, eBay also has a large customer base. It offers different pricing options, including a free basic store, but fees apply for certain features and transactions. 3. Etsy: If you sell handmade, vintage, or unique items, Etsy could be a suitable platform. It has a strong community of buyers interested in such products. Etsy charges listing and transaction fees. 4. Shopify: Shopify allows you to create your own online store with a customizable domain name. It offers various pricing plans, including a basic one, and provides tools to manage inventory, payments, and shipping. Now, regarding shipping, it depends on the platform you choose. Some platforms like Amazon and eBay provide integrated shipping solutions, allowing you to print shipping labels and track packages directly from their platforms. For others like Etsy or Shopify, you'll need to handle shipping independently. When a customer places an order, you'll receive their shipping address and need to arrange shipment through a shipping provider of your choice. The decision between having your own domain or using an e-shop platform depends on your long-term goals, budget, and technical expertise. Here are some points to consider: 1. Own Domain: Having your own domain (e.g., www.yourbusiness.com) gives you complete control over your brand and website. It allows for more customization, flexibility, and scalability. However, it requires technical knowledge or hiring a web developer to set up and maintain the website. Costs include domain registration and hosting fees. 2. E-shop Platform: Platforms like Shopify provide an all-in-one solution, including hosting, templates, and payment integrations. They require less technical knowledge, are user-friendly, and often have customer support. While you may have less control over the platform's features, it can be a cost-effective option for starting and testing your business. Ultimately, the choice between an own domain or an e-shop platform depends on your specific needs, resources, and technical abilities. It's advisable to research further, compare features, read user reviews, and consider your long-term business goals before making a decision.
