To recreate the business model you described, you can follow these steps: 1. Define your target market: Determine the specific area or demographic you want to serve in Northern NJ. This will help you understand the demand for your services and tailor your operations accordingly. 2. Obtain necessary licenses and permits: Research and acquire any required licenses, permits, or certifications needed to operate a warehousing and delivery business in your area. Contact local authorities or consult with a business attorney to ensure compliance with regulations. 3. Set up your warehouse: Utilize your 1500 sqft warehouse space efficiently by organizing it to accommodate incoming packages. Consider installing shelves, racks, and labeling systems to maximize storage capacity and ease of retrieval. 4. Establish partnerships with online retailers: Reach out to online companies, such as e-commerce platforms or individual sellers, and propose a partnership where you act as their local distribution center. Highlight the benefits of reduced shipping costs and faster delivery times for their customers in the Northern NJ area. 5. Develop a logistics system: Create a streamlined process for receiving, storing, and distributing packages. This may include inventory management software to track incoming and outgoing items, as well as a system to notify customers about their deliveries. 6. Hire drivers: Recruit and hire reliable drivers to handle the last-mile delivery of packages. Ensure they have valid driver's licenses, clean driving records, and are familiar with the Northern NJ area to optimize delivery efficiency. 7. Provide additional services: Differentiate your business by offering value-added services like package consolidation, returns management, or same-day/express delivery options. This can attract more customers and increase your revenue streams. 8. Market your services: Develop a marketing strategy to promote your warehousing and delivery business. Create a website, social media profiles, and business listings to increase your online presence. Consider targeted advertising or partnerships with local businesses to generate awareness. 9. Build customer relationships: Focus on providing excellent customer service to build loyalty and positive word-of-mouth referrals. Promptly address any issues or concerns, and consider implementing a customer feedback system to continuously improve your operations. 10. Scale and expand: Once your business gains traction, consider expanding your services to neighboring areas or exploring partnerships with larger online retailers. Continuously analyze your operations, adapt to market trends, and seek opportunities for growth. Remember to consult with legal and financial professionals to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. Additionally, market research and competitive analysis specific to your area will provide valuable insights for success.

Good point, the only reason I thought I could was because I've seen other businesses, with small warehouses, doing the same thing for Temu for instance

I just don’t know how you can be a niche. So many online facilities including amazon does all that so such simple scale ease and cheap pricing … what would be your whole value proposition? If it’s nothing special save your time now. Unless you can figure out a specific niche and only 1500 sq that won’t cut it. If that was the case then anyone with garage space can launch a fulfillment center.
