FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) boosters are strategies or tactics used to create a sense of urgency or exclusivity, thereby increasing the fear of missing out on something desirable. While there are numerous FOMO boosters that have been used in the past, it is important to note that their effectiveness can vary based on the target audience and context. Here are a few FOMO boosters that have been observed to work: 1. Limited-time offers: Creating a sense of urgency by offering limited-time deals or discounts can be an effective FOMO booster. For example, online retailers often use countdown timers or limited stock notifications to encourage immediate action from potential buyers. 2. Social proof: Demonstrating that others are participating or benefiting from a particular event or product can trigger FOMO. This can be achieved through testimonials, user reviews, or showcasing popular influencers or celebrities using the product or attending the event. 3. Exclusivity and VIP access: Offering exclusive access or privileges to a select group of individuals can generate FOMO among those who are not part of the exclusive circle. This can be seen in invitation-only events, limited edition products, or membership programs. 4. Event-based FOMO: Creating a sense of FOMO around time-sensitive events, such as concerts, conferences, or product launches, can be effective. This can be achieved by promoting the event through social media, highlighting the limited availability of tickets, or showcasing past events to create anticipation. 5. Scarcity tactics: Emphasizing limited availability or limited quantities of a product or service can trigger FOMO. This can be seen in phrases like "while supplies last" or "limited edition," which create a perception of exclusivity and encourage immediate action. It is important to note that while these FOMO boosters have been observed to work, their effectiveness can vary depending on the target audience, industry, and overall marketing strategy. Additionally, ethical considerations should be taken into account when using FOMO boosters, as they can sometimes manipulate or exploit consumer emotions.

Man it would be killer to have a custom script! I currently use an app called, fittingly, Delivery Timer to display a shipping timeline for the customer. It has most of these features built in, but it makes you pick either a visual timeline which I currently use, or the countdown. I’ve got a support request out to their devs to try and let me display both in separate locations.
